I live in Bangladesh which is a hot country. Temperature never goes that down here so there’s no snow. For a long time, I’ve been dreaming to see snows and at last my dream came true. I traveled to Sikkim, India and enjoyed the beauty of snows there. In this post, I’m going to briefly write down the tour.
My journey started from Shiliguri to Sikkim. Here, we rented a Car and started the journey
It was almost 11 PM when I reached Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.

Quickly finished our dinner and went to bed. I was very tired due to this long journey so quickly fell asleep.
Tsongmo Lake
Next morning, after taking my breakfast, I started my journey to visit Tsongmo Lake.

I was lucky because suddenly the sky became cloudy and it started raining. For the first time in my life, I saw snowfall.

Enjoyed the ride in the rope way. The view from the top of the mountain was really amazing.

It’s not possible to capture the beauty of the mountains, still tried to capture some photos with my phone.
Lachung
Next morning, we started our journey to Lachung. It was a 6 hour journey from Gangtok. We hired a Mahindra Jeep to go there.
On the road, there was a nice waterfall. We stopped there for a while and enjoyed the beautiful waterfall.

We reached Lachung in the evening. The weather was very cold and I was hungry. Just beside our place there was small bar and restaurant. I went there and enjoyed a few drinks. Also met a local young guy. We talked a lot about the culture and life at Lachung. It was an awesome experience.

In the morning, we started our journey to Zero Point.
There was a beautiful place on the road. We stopped there for a while.

The entire journey was amazing. Lot’s of trees and rocks were there on the road sides. The view of the Himalayas was very attractive. Only eyes can see the beauty and heart can feel.

At zero point, I got a bit sick due to high altitude and low oxygen. I wasn’t able to explore a lot. Rather doing that, I sat on a big rock and did mediation for a while.

All of my trip mates were playing with the snows so there’s no one to talk. I took this opportunity to talk to strangers and they helped me by taking few photos of mine. I did the same favor to them.
Here are some pictures taken at zero point.

That’s all for now. In my next post, I’ll share my experience of visiting Darjeeling – my childhood’s dream.
